Final Blog

Please give me your detailed reaction to the end of your story. Would you have wanted the ending to be any different? Why or why not?

  1. I tink it would have been better if the city wasn't destroyed. I think this because if the city wasn't destroyed there could be a sequil. I was also suprised that when Guy left he found other people that liked to read. I also think it was good because Guy didn't like books for most of the story but when he started to read he also started to understand the other side, that the government doesnt have to tell you what to believe. In some ways they could have changed it to make it better but I wouldn't want it changed it was a good ending for the book.

  2. I thought the ending and the book taught a good lesson because it expose's communism and total regimes for what they are about having total control and leaving no voice for the people. The ending of the book eventually showed that the government would get to greedy and breakdown leaving society to rebuild itself but hopefully for the better i wouldn't change the ending because to me it shows resilience and a new beginning when Montag and his new found friends go to start rebuilding a new better society after the city was destroyed.

  3. i believe that, as cameron posted, that the ending of the book was good because it does oxpose the communism by making everyone fall in line behind the government and having no say in what goes on or how things are done. i would have had the end of the book to where guy succesfully found the retired printer but was caught several months later after a new culutural view is formed about books to where people could voice out their own opinions about them
